Hi Fay,
Yet another sensational holiday booked by you!!!
Hotel Bristol Vienna is a lovely old hotel in a fabulous position. Staff were great. An old building so style is according therefore the soundproofing not the best but you have to appreciate it for its age & history. They need to work on the quality of their food as it was disappointing.
Hotel Sacher Salzburg was fantastic in all aspects. Our friends travelling with us rated it as best hotel room they've ever booked. Really enjoyed the whole experience of this hotel & received lovely upgrade.
Cervo in Zermatt is not a Virtuoso but we highly recommend this hotel/chalet. The owner Daniel is a wonderful host, the chalet apartments are great & so reasonably priced, the location next to the ski lift is ideal, you can ski in here at end of day & it has a great apres bar, the staff are young & fun, the food is superb & the view over Zermatt & the Matterhorn is spectacular.
The Dylan in Amsteram is not a Virtuoso but again we highly recommend. Wonderful location, beautifully styled, wonderful staff, good food, charming boutique feel.
Hotel Fouquet Barriere in Paris was a great choice. The staff were so friendly & attentive, the Fouquet Brasserie is fabulous, we received a wonderful upgrade, the spa area is great, for what we wanted to do the location was good & we appreciated the Hollywood art deco style.
Deborah Anthony is a gem!! What a wonderful experience we had with her in our 2 day Marie Antoinette tour. The special access to Versailles was such an amazing opportunity worth every euro & we would not hesitate in hiring her again when next in Paris.

Dear Fay and Cathy,
We have been loving our wonderful holiday. The Goring was perfect and we did not want to leave, deciding that London and the Goring hospitality required far more time than we had allocated.
The Napoleon Suite in Rome was incredible, three massive rooms, elaborately decorated, pure classic class with faultless service. We did not want to leave and committed to return as soon as possible.
The Capri Palace was even better than we had anticipated from our inspection last year. Now that I should have a gluten free diet I had dreaded being in Capri and not being able to enjoy the pasta and breads. The Palace has a focus on diet and it and its stunning beach club have perfect gluten free pastas, the service unsurpassed. Of course we were more than reluctant to leave this morning.
The boat transfer was pure magnificence. By now we have accumulated nine massive bags (mostly Simone's I am told). We could not have moved any other way and both hotels and the boat provided a seamless transfer.
Even with this experience, the absolute highlight of our holiday has been the II San Pietro. We have been provided with the most magnificent room (#55), indescribably beautiful with a wonderful balcony, swing chair, garden, excessive space, two bathrooms, etc. When we entered the room Simone asked "could we call Fay and ask if we can stay here forever?". Please do not accept her call.

Dear Fay,
What a great time we had on our trip. The Eastern Orient Express was just superb, great service and brilliant food it was French cooking with a touch of Thai and the four of us enjoyed the fun of lunch and dinner with the wines chosen in turn by each couple. The real reason for this email was to ask you to contact the EOR boss in Sydney and tell him that I left my cashmere sweater on board the train when we disembarked in Bangkok, a day later they called me in my hotel and delivered the sweater that I had not even noticed was missing. Pretty unusual today.
The whole trip ran smoothly as usual when you are in charge. I need to talk to you soon as we are planning a trip to Borneo and would like some advice on continuing on to Paris and any resorts you recommend on the way.

Thank you so very much for everything you have done to make this holiday such a wonderful experience.
As you know we arrived at The Intercontinental in Hong Kong, were met by the car (so glad you organised that), arrived at the hotel and were shown to a very nice room with full Harbour Views. They looked after us very well.
The Seabourn was also good and we met a really nice group of people from the USA. The Captain was waiting to say farewell to us all when we left the ship yesterday.
The highlight is exactly what you said it would be - Trisara. Your friend Marie met us and made us feel very welcome here. We were shown to a very luxurious Villa on the hili side with a pool and views of the beach. We feel spoilt. The Villa is almost large enough to live in. We have just had the breakfast of the trip and are about to walk back to change for the beach, such hard life ... Marie is so full of praise for you and says you are the best ambassador for the hotel (thought you might like to know that).
Rob is sorry for "stuffing you around" with the May cruise booking but as you know it won't be too long before he finds something else he would like to do.

Both Jacqueline and I wish to say a very big THANK YOU for arranging such a fantastic trip for us. We are pleased to report that throughout the entire 3 month sojourn around the world, everything went as smooth as silk, be it cars to meet us .... hotel room upgrades .... late check outs, etc, etc ....... everything just happened!
We are both most grateful for the care and attention to detail you went to, such as that unbelievable birthday cake for Jack in Paris and the fantastic bottles of red and flowers on the ship and the unbelievable dinner at Il Pelicano. All the effort that you and the Travel Phase team put into our most 'memorable vacation ever'.

As promised, here is my feedback re the recent Japan trip. In a word, it was "excellent" !
Everything went to plan-all our flights arrived early, the trains were impressive, and always ran precisely to timetable. Also, the Hotels were spacious and very comfortable, and exceeded our expectations.
The Guides were all first class-spoke English very well, and went out of their way to please. I want to especially mention Morimoto Kotoe who met us at the Airport in Hiroshima and accompanied us to our Hotel - and subsequently took us from the Hotel back to the Airport. I lost my distance spectacles in Hiroshima and "worked out" that I had left them on a counter at a Department store. I telephoned Kotoe at home and asked could she meet me at the Hotel earlier than planned and accompany me to the store. That she happily did. It was prior to opening hours, yet she managed to get us into the store, and to both the "lost and found" counter and the counter where I believed I had left them. To no avail. She later wrote to me and informed me she had returned to the store a day or two later, but still no luck. I will be writing to her and sending her a small gift. I haven't the heart to tell her that I subsequently found the glasses in the pocket of a coat I had worn on the day we were in HIroshima - our first wet day!
Fay, please congratulate Mitsuki San and her colleagues and ask her to express our appreciation to our Guides and Drivers.

Dear Fay,
Pip and I got back, safe and sound, two Fridays ago. I had meant to write before now to thank you for all your good work in making our trip so enjoyable.
Lucy Lau met us upon arrival at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. She mentioned your recent visit, and the late check-out at 8.00pm went perfectly. The extra relaxation afforded by this little luxury was much appreciated later that night when our plane took off during a typhoon with gale force winds.
In New York you are obviously very well known at The Lowell. Our stay there was just perfect (When I win the lottery, I will go back and take one of the penthouses!).
The General Manager even came and introduced himself when we arrived. I thought you might also be interested to see the recognition that The Lowell gave you with the very nice bottle of Sangiovese delivered to our room.
